A Step By Step Tutorial to Uploading and Launching Your First Video With TubeMogul.com

Step 1: Login to your tubemogul.com account at http://www.tubemogul.com

Step 2: You will be taken to a page with some sticky note graphics. Click on the one that says “Upload Video.”

Step 3: Click the “Browse” button and select the video you would like to upload.

Step 4: Click the “Upload” Button to start the upload process.

Step 5: Enter Keyword Rich Title, Description and Tags (See screenshot below for example content)

Step 6: Select a category – Simply select the category that best fits the video you are uploading

Step 7: Click the green “Upload” button

Step 8: Enter Information for Video Sharing Sites or Create new accounts if you don’t already have them.

If you don’t already have accounts with the available sites, just click the “more options” link next to the site you want to register for and then click the “Register Now” link to be taken to the registration page for that site.

Step 9: Connect to social media sites and get tokens for some video sharing sites.

A token is nothing more than a virtual password. The following example will show you how I setup tokens for twitter and facebooks.

Click the “ Get Token” link.

Click the “Sign In With Twitter” Button.

This will open a page for you to input your twitter username and password. Enter them in and click the “Allow” button.

Now, let’s look at facebook connection. You can have tube mogul automatically post to your facebook profile and/or and number of fan pages.

Click the “Get Token” link.

Click the “Connect with Facebook” button.

This will bring up the facebook login screen. Enter in your facebook email address and password then click “Login.”

The next screen is where you can either allow or disallow tubemogul to post to your personal profile. I would recommend that you allow tubemogul to post because it is one more place for people to see you videos. If for some reason you don’t want them to autopost to your profule, click “Don’t Allow”

Once you have made a decision and clicked either “Allow” or “Don’t Allow” for your personal profile, the next screen is the permissions for your fanpage(s).

In the dropdown box on this page, click on your fanpage and make sure that there is a checkmark next to it. Then click the “Allow” button.

Now that you have entered in all of your credentials for the video sharing sites and social media sites, make sure to click the check box next to the “Yes, Store Them.” At the bottom of the screen. If you leave this box unchecked, you will have to reenter all of your usernames and passwords next time you upload a video. MAKE SURE TO CHECK THE YES BOX!

Now, click LAUNCH!

After you click the launch button, the “Launch Sequence” begins. You will be albe to see the status of your video uploads and tracking will start for them.

By default, tubemogul.com only gives you access to the most popular and important video sharing sites. If you would like the ability to send to even more sites, click the “More Sites” button and apply to get access to other sites.
